Specificity: Recognizes the PLCγ1 protein
Cited Applications: WB
Cross Reactivity: Western blot human PLCγ1
PLCγ1 from other species may also be detectable
Host : Rabbit
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 769-773 of human PLCγ1
Formulation: PBS, pH 7.4, 0.02% NaN3, 50% glycerol
Purification: Affinity chromatography
Stability: Store at 4
oC (add 0.1% NaN
3) for several months, and at -20
oC for longer periods. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Scientific Background: PLCγ1 or phospholipase C gamma 1 plays an important role in the intracellular transduction of message from receptor-mediated tyrosine kinase activation. PLCγ1 catalyzes the formation of two second-messenger molecules inositol 1, 4, 5-trisphosphate and diacylglycerol from phosphatidylinositol 4, 5-bisphosphate. PLCγ1 is a major substrate for heparin-binding growth factor 1 activated tyrosine kinase. PLCγ1 inhibits growth factor receptor-mediated invasion of breast and prostate tumor cells and is a physiological guanine nucleotide exchange factor for the nuclear GTPase PIKE (1).
