: Recognizes native and denatured forms of RFP protein.
: Western blot RFP and its variants tag-RFP, DeRed, mCherry and mOrange, etc
Other RFP variants may also be detectable
Host / Isotype / Clone#
: Mouse, IgG1, RF5R
: RFP from the Discosoma sea anemone N-terminal peptide-KLH conjugates
: 10mM PBS, pH7.2
: Affinity chromatography
: Store at 4o
C (add 0.1% NaN3
) for several months, and at -20o
C for longer periods.
For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
: RFP or red fluorescent protein from sea anemone Entacmaea quadricolor is a member of the green florescent protein family and is extensively used as a tag and reporter protein in molecular and cellular biology. RFP has a molecular weight of approximately 29 kDa and an excitation and emission maxima at 559 and 611 nm (1). RFP fluoresces over a wide pH range (4-10) with high quantum yield. Like other anthozoan fluorescent proteins, RFP forms tetramers at physiological concentrations.
