Overview:
OTULIN (OTU deubiquitinase with linear linkage specificity) belongs to the family of peptidase C65 family of ubiquitin isopeptidases via removing ubiquitin from proteins (1). OTULIN specifically targets on Met1-linked polyubiquitin chains to repress the linear ubiquitin chain assembly complex (LUBAC) mediated ubiqitination (2). OTULIN deficiency leads to a TNF-related systemic inflammation and aotuimmunity in humans and mice model, and the neutralizing antibody can rescue the phenotypes (3).
