Overview:
LCMT2, also named tRNA wybutosine-synthesizing protein 4 (TYW4), is an S-adenosylmethionine (SAM)-dependent enzyme that involves in the final step of wybutosine biosynthesis pathway (1). Structural study revealed that TYW4 uses one catalytic site for both methylation and methoxycarbonylation process (2).
