Overview:
ERK8 as a distinct member of the MAPK family that is activated by a Src-dependent signaling pathway, involved in control of its cellular localization by nuclear exclusion, and suggest a key role for this MAP kinase in the regulation of the biological activities of this nuclear receptor (1). ERK8 plays an important role in the response to, or repair of, DNA single strand breaks (2).
Gene Aliases:
MAPK15, ERK7, ERK8
