Overview:
eRFP (entacmaea quadricolor red fluorescent protein FP611) has the excitation maximum at 559 nm and the emission maximum at 611 nm (1). The fluorescence is constant within pH 4-10 (1). The eRFP proteins can be used for in vivo labeling in the eukaryotic systems through the expression in HeLa cells (2).
