Overview:
Interleukin 17D is a disulfide-linked homodimer belonging to the IL-17 family of proinflammatory cytokines. Members belonging to this family share conserved features of cysteine-knot structures but differ in their N-terminal regions. The T-helper cell produced IL17 family is inducible by IL15 and IL23, and IL17D induces expression of endothelial IL6, IL8, and GM-CSF, and inhibits hemopoiesis of myeloid progenitor cells.
Genbank Number:
Storage, Stability and Shipping:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70oC. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2o - 8oC for one month, or at -20oC for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Endotoxin Level:
<1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method
Molecular Weight:
20.5 kDa
Gene Aliases :
Interleukin-27
Reconstitution Protocol:
Reconstitute in sterile 4mM HCl at 100μg/mL (containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serum albumin)
Sample Cell Assay Data:
The ED50 is 7.5-37.5 ng/mL as determined by its binding ability in a functional ELISA (at a concentration of 1 μg/mL).
Purity:
Recombinant Human IL17D resolved on a 15% SDS-PAGE gel under reducing conditions and stained with Coomassie Brilliant Blue G-250
