Overview:

SET domain-containing protein 6 (SETD6) is a mono-methyltransferase that has been shown to methylate RelA of NF-kappa-B complex and thus attenuate NF-kappa-B transcription factor activity. In addition, it monomethylates the histone H2A variant H2AZ which is required for the maintenance of embryonic stem cell self-renewal.
