Overview:

The Growth Factor Receptor-Bound Protein 2 (GRB2) is an important adapter protein involved in intracellular signaling pathways, particularly in receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) signaling. It contains multiple domains, including the Src homology 3 (SH3) domains. The GRB2 SH3-1 domain is a specific SH3 domain within the GRB2 protein. SH3 domains are approximately 50-70 amino acids in length and play a critical role in mediating protein-protein interactions. They typically bind to proline-rich motifs in target proteins, facilitating the assembly of signaling complexes and contributing to various cellular processes, including signal transduction, cytoskeletal organization, and cell proliferation.
