Overview:

ABI1 (Abl interactor 1) is a signaling protein involved in various cellular processes, including cytoskeletal organization, cell migration, and signal transduction. It is a key player in the regulation of actin dynamics and cell morphology. SH3 domains are approximately 50-70 amino acids in length that are known to mediate protein-protein interactions, often with proline-rich motifs in target proteins. The SH3 domain of ABI1 is likely involved in mediating interaction with other proteins, including signaling molecules, and may participate in the regulation of ABI1’s function and its interactions with downstream effectors, ultimately influencing cellular signaling pathways and actin dynamics.
