Overview:
Cyclin-dependent kinase 10 (CDK10) belongs to cdc2 family of kinases and regulates the cell cycle (1). Cyclin M, the only conventional cyclin partner, protects CDK10 from ubiquitin mediated degradation (2). CDK10/cyclinM positively regulates the degradation of ETS2 through phosphorylation of two neighboring serines. EST2 is a transcription factor that plays key roles in cancer and development. CDK10/CyclinM is also known to repress ciliogenesis and to maintain actin cytoskeletan through the phoshorylation of the PKN2 protein kinase and the control of RhoA stability (3).
Gene Aliases:
CDK10: ALSAS, PISSLRE CyclinM: CCNQ, CycM, FAM58A
